The main camera screen is where the action happens in the app! Use it to take pictures, switch modes, set a timer, and more.
Below is a labelled screenshot of the main camera screen:
Across the top you can see the Settings Bar where you can find the following functions:
Library: Access the Library screen to the left.
Timer: Set a countdown. Press the shutter and the countdown will begin.
Brightness: Adjust brightness exposure. Click "Auto" to exit manual control.
Connection: Disconnect your current Podo, or manage multiple with Multi mode. To enter multi-mode, choose "Add" and select which Podos you would like to include in Multi mode.
Multi mode: In Multi mode, one Podo is under main control at a time. This means you can only see the preview from one Podo at a time, and you also may only transfer photos from one Podo at a time (you may still take photos from multiple Podos at once). To switch which Podo is under main control, go to the Connections menu and choose the Podo you would like to use. In Multi-mode, you may not enter Booth/Solo mode.
Settings: Access the camera settings menu to the right. In this menu, you can get information about your Podo (Serial Number, Number of Files on your Podo). You can check your Podo's battery level. You can also completely disconnect your Podo which will shut off your Podo. In order to turn Podo back on, you will need to plug it into a power source. You may also format your Podo's SDCARD which will delete all files. Turning Auto Orient on will allow your Podo to take a photo right-side-up, no matter Podo's orientation. Mirror Preview will allow your preview area to show you mirrored previews of your photos.
Underneath is the Preview Area. This live preview aids you in making sure the shot is perfect.
Note: The image is a preview, meaning lower resolution than the final image. This increases the responsiveness and speed of the preview, which is wirelessly transmitting from the Podo to your phone.
The preview area switches from Portrait and Landscape orientations based on the orientation of the Podo camera itself.
Underneath the preview area is the Recent Photos Bar. The photos you take in a single session (session ends when you close the app, transfer photos, or disconnect the Podo) are displayed here in chronological order. Clicking the Send button transfers each photo from your Recent Photos Bar to your phone. Each photo may take 5-8 seconds to transfer.
If you accidentally clear your Recent Photos Bar before you have the chance to transfer your photos, you can transfer these photos later via the Library. Just because a photo is in your library does not mean it is in your phone library, you must transfer every photo.
At the bottom is the Shutter. Here you can hit the shutter button, see your current mode, or change modes.
